Hello everyone,
the venue is probably going the be the same pub as last time but it is yet to be confirmed, so do keep an eye out for messages.
I did mention this in my powwow mailing, so people shouldn't get too confused, hopefully.
Looking forward to seeing you, best, Kerstin

powwow topic: proofreading
May 4, 2010
Hello everybody,
just a quick note to let you know that Florence has kindly offered to initiate an open discussion / exercise about proofreading, revising and editing - examples, differences, standards, payment - perhaps a set of guidelines will evolve.
We'll be aiming to do this in the first part of our afternoon on Saturday, May 15th.
Thanks very much in advance to Florence!
Best wishes, Kerstin

Proof-reading discussion
May 5, 2010
Hi all
In preparation for our discussion, please feel free to email via ProZ with any suggestions, questions or specific problems you may have encountered (hyper-revision, mistranslation, etc.). Although the idea is to understand/define proof-reading in general, it would be great to also talk about some particular examples of problems you may have faced.
I look forward to your comments and to seeing you on May 15th for a stimulating talk... See more

I won't be able to make it to this pow wow, and regret that I will miss your proofreading discussion. It would be really great if you could make a brief summary available after the event!
Many thanks, David

for your conscientious and capable organisational efforts, very useful. Perhaps we could keep the introductions a bit briefer next time and spend more time on pre-agreed matters, such as a presentation and discussion on marketing. Looking forward to it!
