Hi, my name is Alex Triumfov, and I'm a free-lance Russian-English, English-Russian translator and interpreter with over 20 years of translation experience. I grew up in New York, but later moved to Mo...scow where I am currently based.
After graduating from the Translation Department of Moscow Linguistic University I worked as a radio announcer for the World Service of Radio Moscow, revising and translating a wide range of texts. In 2001, I earned an MBA from California State University, Hayward, and served as International Rights Director for a number of publishing companies and film studios. Since 2009, I have been providing translation services to the Legal Department of VimpelCom, the global telecom operator, and simultaneous interpretation services to the Executive Board of VimpelCom. After winning a tender for translation services held by Japan Tobacco International in 2012, I have also been closely involved with JTI. Backer & MсKenzie is another regular client since 2012.
My daily output is around 2000-2500 words, depending on text, and the main areas of expertise where I feel most comfortable are contracts, legal and financial texts.
