Source text - Spanish • Tanques de agua contra incendios. Estos tanques deberán garantizar el abastecimiento de agua a todo el sistema PCI, en las peores condiciones posibles, durante un periodo de 120 minutos (2 horas).
• Grupo de bombeo de agua de PCI constituido por:
- Una (1) bomba eléctrica.
- Una (1) bomba diesel.
- Una (1) bomba jockey, para presurización de la red de agua de PCI.
Los caudales y presiones serán definidos en función de cada instalación particular.
El grupo de bombeo debe estar situado en un recinto con acceso al exterior.
• Anillo de PCI que discurre en torno a las zonas protegidas, para conducción del agua impulsada por las bombas hasta los puntos de conexión a los equipos y sistemas de agua de PCI.
Desde este anillo parten las acometidas a los sistemas fijos, monitores, hidrantes y BIEs que protegen áreas/equipos concretos de la Planta.
En general, se define para cada área un sistema principal de extinción (sistema fijo o BIEs) con cobertura de un sistema de apoyo (BIEs o extintores).
El anillo cuenta con válvulas de corte, que permiten el aislamiento por tramos del anillo. La disposición de tuberías y válvulas adoptada garantiza el suministro de agua a los sistemas fijos, monitores, hidrantes y BIEs aun en el supuesto de que algún tramo del anillo se encuentre interrumpido, de modo que siempre quede disponible el sistema principal o el de apoyo para cada riesgo.
Translation - English • Fire water tanks. These tanks shall guarantee the supply of water to the entire FPS system, in the worst possible conditions, for a period of 120 minutes (2 hours).
• The FPS water pump unit is composed of:
- One electric pump.
- One diesel pump.
- One jockey pump to pressurise the FPS water network.
The flows and pressures shall be defined according to each particular installation.
The pump unit shall be located in a room with outdoor access.
• An FPS ring that runs around the protected areas for channelling the water driven by the pumps to the connection points to the equipment and FPS water systems.
From this ring start the connections to the fixed systems, monitors, hydrants and FHCs that protect specific areas/equipment of the Plant.
In general, for each area a principal extinguishing system (fixed system or FHCs) is defined with backup by a support system (FHCs or extinguishers).
The ring has shut-off valves which allow sections of the ring to be isolated. The layout of the pipes and valves adopted guarantees the supply of water to the fixed systems, monitors, hydrants and FHCs even in the event that some section of the ring is cut off, so that the main or support system is always available for any hazard.
