Native English speaker (U.S.) with a B.A. in Political Science plus graduate studies in languages and translation in Berlin. Susan lived and worked in Germany (Berlin and Frankfurt) between 1988 and 2012 and has been a full-time translator since 1997. She initially worked for a translation agency for law and industry in Berlin, which gave her wide exposure to a variety of challenging texts. From 2005 to 2008 she was senior translator at a Frankfurt translation agency specializing in annual reports for German DAX-listed firms. She subsequently returned to Berlin went back into business for herself, benefiting from her in-house experience which allows her to offer high-quality, upmarket translations. Susan is now based in Sarasota, Florida and is an active member of the American Translators Association, which has certified her as a German>English translator.
