I learned English when I was seven years old and never lost it. Since childhood I have loved astronomy and have been reading about it which has made me very much inclined to the scientific world.
Later I obtained a Bioengineering B.Sc. degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, USA. This has provided me with a strong background for grasping technical and scientific literature.
I was very young when I began doing simultaneous interpretations for friends and relatives and later I realized I wanted to work seriously as such so I took some courses in Caracas in that field.
Since I learned English as a child when I was attending first grade, I picked it up in a natural way, not through language methods, repeating patterns or things like that. I can honestly say I am not only bilingual but bicultural as I understand the Anglo-Saxon culture just as I understand my owns country's idiosyncrasy.
