En la siguiente frase, ¿cuál es correcto, "el hecho que" o "el hecho de que"?:

"Y el hecho que fue quebrado y sucedieron cuatro en su lugar significa que cuatro reinos se levantarán de aquella nación".

Incomprehensible… everything (2) The point at issue here is why your text says “hecho” (fact) and not “cuerno” (horn). Because if you insert “cuerno” and remove “hecho”, the meaning of the phrase changes dramatically at once. In Spanish, a “hecho” is not broken, but a horn can certainly be. Hence, this supports the idea that your source, for whatever reason unknown to me, does not make sense whatsoever, it is just misleading.
If your sentence read “y el cuerno que fue quebrado”, the interpretation provided by Adoración, supported by not less than 12 agrees, would be fully wrong because the preposition “de” would then be fully superfluous. You may perhaps add some clarification on this mysterious “case”.

When I opened the topic, admittedly too late, your query immediately attracted my attention. I read your query, I read all answers available, two, both in the same direction, I read all agrees, and I couldn´t help but think that there was something wrong in the wording of your query. But I couldn´t know what was wrong.

Por si ayuda, en este caso, se entiende que lo que "fue quebrado" no es "el hecho", sino algo diferente. O sea, "ese "fue quebrado" tiene un sujeto que no es "el hecho" y que no aparece en la frase del ejemplo. En inglés, "el hecho de que" sería "the fact that (something/someone) + verb phrase. Por ejemplo, "the fact that audiences are egocentric means that...".

Creo que los únicos casos donde sería correcto decir "el hecho que..." son casos en que el sustativo "hecho" se traduciría al inglés como "event". Por ejemplo, "el hecho que sucedió días atrás mantiene preocupado al sector turístico".

Ahora que vuelvo a leer la frase más atentamente, entiendo que el sujeto de "fue quebrado" sería "el reino".
