English to Portuguese: Kabbalah Revealed (Cabala Revelada) Detailed field: Religion
Source text - English In our last lesson, we learned about the screen (Masach)—the primary tool of attainment in the method of Kabbalah. And just to sum it up quickly, the screen is an intention to receive, in order to bestow to the Creator. That is, that the creature creates in itself a quality, a similar quality to the quality that surrounds it; an inner quality that has a similarity of form, an equivalence of form with the property, the attribute of bestowal outside of it. That is, its act of receiving becomes an act of giving.
Translation - Portuguese Na nossa última lição nós aprendemos sobre a tela (Masach)— a principal ferramenta de alcance no método da Cabala.
English to Portuguese: Mandela Comes to Leah General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - English ‘No’ he said, ‘Freedom is never conditioned’
And shackles clamped on the veteran of Robben Island.
‘No’ she said, ‘Knowledge permits no exclusion’ -
Scarred, but unscared, the face of the Maid of Pakistan.
‘No’ she said, ‘Faith is not on compulsion’ -
A captive voice, demure but defiant in Dapchi,
Her torch undimmed in the den of zealots.
Thus, across time, testamentary voice recurrent -
Mandela, Malala, Leah Sharibu - the torch of
‘No, said Prometheus’, flame and anthem,
Finds fissures, a lustrous flame bursts through
Chibok and Dapchi, to re-illuminate the world.
Translation - Portuguese “Não” ele disse, “A liberdade nunca é condicionada”
Chibok e Drapchi, e volta a iluminar o mundo.
