Source text - English A clinical investigator reported that a 63-year-old Caucasian male patient was hospitalized for life-threatening angioedema (grade 4) while enrolled in the study involving blinded study therapy exenatide/placebo for type 2 diabetes mellitus. The patient initiated blinded weekly study therapy with exenatide/placebo on 15-May-2014. Additionally, the patient was receiving subcutaneous insulin Lantus (60 IU BID), oral metformin (1500 mg BID), and insulin lispro (90 IU, TID). The last dose of study therapy was taken on 03-Nov-2014. On 07-Nov-2014, the patient visited an urgent care facility due to several hours of tongue swelling and throat constriction. He was treated with diphenhydramine and epinephrine and sent to the hospital for further management. The patient was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit where he received steroids (details of product, dose, and route not provided). A diagnosis of angioedema was established. The angioedema resolved on 09-Nov-2014 and the patient was discharged on the same day.

El paciente inició el estudio semanal efectuado a ciego con exenatida/placebo el 15 de mayo de 2014. Adicionalmente, recibía insulina Lantus (60 UI dos veces al día), metmorfina oral (1500 mg. dos veces al día) e insulina lispro (90 mg. tres veces al día). La última dosis del estudio fue ingerida el 3 de noviembre de 2014. El 7 de noviembre de 2014, el paciente se dirigió a una unidad de emergencias debido a que llevaba varias horas con hinchazón en la lengua y opresión en la garganta. Se le dio difenhidramina y epinefrina, y se lo trasladó al hospital para continuar su tratamiento. El paciente fue internado en la unidad de cuidado intensivo, donde recibió esteroides (no se proporcionaron los detalles del producto, dosis o vía). Se estableció un diagnóstico del angioedema, el cual se resumió el 9 de noviembre de 2014. El paciente fue dado de alta ese mismo día.

Bio
My name is María Soledad. I'm a translator based in Argentina. I specialize in medical and technical texts, but I also perform transcriptions and/or translation of audiovisual material, websites and apps. I have experience working with domestic and foreign clients. In addition, I offer English lessons and workshops in a variety of topics: literature, business English, pronunciation. These face-to-face classes give me the possibility to interact with my students and leave aside the loneliness of my translator's life.
I'm very passionate about literature and literary translation. Since my graduation, I have participated in several literary workshops, both in Argentina and abroad. In 2016 I participated in the Interanational Literary Translation & Creative Writing Summer School, delivered by the British Centre for Literary Translation in partnership with Writers' Centre, in Norwich, UNESCO City of Literature. More recently, I took part in FILBA, an International Literature Festival in Buenos Aires, working in the translation of excerpts by writer Anna Moschovakis.
