Bio

Certified English to Spanish translator and proofreader specializing in marketing materials and technical texts for the Hispanic audience. I am based in Argentina and have a Specialized Certificate in translation from the University of California, San Diego and a B.A in English Linguistics from SFSU; I am also a member of the American Translators Association.

Language Expert with Marketing Experience

Let your company be known all around the world. I have experience localizing press releases, brochures, emails, campaigns, and other marketing material, to attract the Hispanic audience. Customers have seen how the cultural and linguistic adaptation of their message can attract new markets.

Localization and transcreation involves comprehensive research, translation, restructuring and adaption of a message, aiming to recognize local sensitivities, avoid conflict with the target culture, customs and habits, and communicate more accurately to maintain consistency between national markets.

Hiring a linguist and translator who has lived and studied in both cultures makes it possible to reach out to Spanish speakers.

Happy Clients

Language and Pragmatics

The Art of Copywriting
Translation is more than transmitting a message into a different language; it goes beyond the linguistic layer and into a pragmatic layer, that is context. As a Translator or Interpreter, the biggest challenge is that your audience is often culturally and socially different. Copywriters have a bonus issue: their audience must also be persuaded. Paul Grice (English Philosopher) talked about the Cooperative Principle, efficient communication and much more.
