After successfully completing my studies, I started working
as a translator in 1994. In 1997, I decided to give it a try as a freelance
translator, and I have been working as such ever since. From translating
directly in clients' programmes to working with CAT tools up to MTPE, I have
constantly kept pace with developments in the translation industry.

Following the principle of lifelong learning, I have
constantly expanded my skills over the decades of my career. Originally working
purely as a technical translator, I was sworn in by the Higher Regional Court (Oberlandesgericht)
of Hamm, Germany, in 2023 to also translate texts with legal relevance.

I am deeply convinced that even modern translation
industry cannot do without human translators when it comes to recognising
contexts, maintaining consistent terminology in long-term translation projects
and conveying content appropiately.

In this respect, I see myself as a bridge builder between
people and peoples, because language is something deeply human.
