Bio
Hi!👋🏼 I'm Alba, a last-year Translation and Interpreting student in Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

I consider myself to be an active person who is always open to learn new things. That probably explains my interest in such a wide variety of translation fields, which range from literary and audiovisual translation to video game localization and song adaptation. My artistic sensitivity and my fascination for beauty are the reason why I'm especially fond of literature, cinema, and music. In fact, my Bachelor's thesis consisted in translating and analyzing six songs that are part of the Broadway musical Hamilton.

If I were to describe myself in a few words, I would say I'm organized, sociable, passionate, and responsible. I'm a very detail-oriented person, I manage my time effectively, and I am skilled in conveying and connecting ideas. In addition, I try to expand my knowledge outside of university by signing up to specialized courses.

Thanks to the opportunity offered by my university to be an intern in a real work environment, I've been able to have a first taste of the publishing industry world next to Grupo Ormo and Editorial Mediterrània, for which I've translated the picture book El petit Dalí into Spanish, English, and French.

Moreover, I've taken part in some of the projects carried out by the Observatori de Neologia (OBNEO), such as Garbell and BOBNEO, as a scholarship assistant. This experience has provided me with a wider knowledge of our ever-changing languages' current situation, and with a renewed lexicographical approach when it comes to translating.
