Swedish term

infrastrukturintrång

Swedish to English Law/Patents Real Estate
I would say this is an "infrastructure intrusion," but that has a too negative connotation.

One pays for an "infrastrukturintrång i skogsmark" (under 2013 års skogsnorm) for the area used for power lines erected in forest.

Discussion

Charlesp (asker) Apr 2, 2013:
Yes, I was thinking "Easement " But I am not sure I can get "easement" - or rather easement for infrastructure - from infrastrukturintrång.
Chris Says Bye Apr 2, 2013:
I would favour encroach over infringe as infringe has a misleading alternative meaning, but neither rings entirely true

Easement is the word that springs to mind but not sure if same thing

agree Sven Petersson : You were right. http://www.domstol.se/Publikationer/Ordlista/svensk-engelsk_... convinced me.

agree Deane Goltermann : I'm tending to agree here, too! I see the easement as the right to use the land, and the 'intrång'/encroachment as the physical effects of exercising that right.
