Trámite de Acción de Homologación

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Colombian court document
This is from a Colombian court document, from the JUZGADO SÉPTIMO DE FAMILIA DE ORALIDAD in Medellín.

Here is the original in Spanish:

Permítame informarle que, en esta Dependencia Judicial se llevó a cabo TRÁMITE de ACCIÓN de HOMOLOGACIÓN en PROCESO ADMINISTRATIVO DE RESTABLECIMIENTO DE DERECHOS, bajo el radicado No. 00000 de 2023, el cual terminó con sentencia No. 000 del día 09 de Febrero de la misma calenda, NO HOMOLOGANDO la decisión tomada por la Autoridad Administrativa,[...]

Would the translation be something like:

Allow me to inform you that, in this Judicial Department, the ACTION OF APPROVAL PROCESS (or PROCEEDINGS) was carried out in the ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS OF RESTORATION OF RIGHTS,[...]

Thank you for any help.

homologation proceedings

Insolvency (Spain), arbitration (Brazil/Canada) and judgment recognition (Mexico) all use homologation proceedings to denote a similar court-approval phase. The English term therefore feels natural to bilingual civil-law lawyers.
Example sentence:

Homologation proceedings were conducted within the administrative proceeding for restoration of rights.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Andrew Bramhall : A.I.B.S.-best avoid;

disagree philgoddard : You should look homologation up in a dictionary. It doesn't make sense in this context.

disagree AllegroTrans : To a native English speaking lawyer, this is just incomprehensible, or at best, translationese

Approval Proceedings

Admittedly, I am not an expert in Colombian law, or law at all for that matter. However, I feel your proposed translation is a little literal. I would suggest something like:

"I hereby inform you that approval proceedings were held in this court, pursuant to the administrative process for the restoration of rights, under case no. 00000...."

You could replace the word "court" with "judicial office" or some other similar term, I imagine. Best of luck!

hearing of a motion for ratification

trámite : handling, Robb.

Allow me to advise you that, issuing out of this Judicial Agency, ... bajo el radicado No. > under the case assigned No. (West: radicado en sala: assigned to a panel + Homologación : accreditation, *probate*, licensing, recognition).

se llevó a cabo TRÁMITE de ACCIÓN de HOMOLOGACIÓN en PROCESO ADMINISTRATIVO DE RESTABLECIMIENTO DE DERECHOS : the hearing of a motion for ratification was disposed of in administrative (review) proceedings for restoration of rights (if a Lat. Am. 'amparo' / BrE: approx. a constitutional application for judicial review, the divorce court has no duty to accept the admin. finding)
Example sentence:

A motion for ratification is a formal proposal, typically presented in a meeting, to approve something, like a contract or a decision, making it legally binding.

USA: A ratification hearing is held to approve the initial permanency plan and all subsequent permanency plans.

Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : I don't see "hearing" in the ST
