agree w/ Multitran :)
Liliana Galiano Sep 4, 2010:
Some context would help, we don't know what he's exactly talking about or what the situation is.
Wendy Streitparth Sep 4, 2010:
Or is this some colloquial expression, for putting a feather in your cap?

head (in this context)

It is very colloquial.
Of course there is a difference between a "head" and a "headboard". But in this case, the person speaking is referring to the head as the "headboard" of the body!

• Asi, esta flor en tu cabecera te vas a poner

So, place this flower in your head!

agree Natalia Pedrosa (X) : I'd go for head meaning just plain "cabeza". ;)

thx, Natalia. Opino q es una errata. "esta flor en tu cabecera te vas a poner". 'te vas a poner' es en la cabeza; si fuera en la cabecera, diría 'la vas a poner'. Slds :)

pillow

También es la almohada y en general la parte de la cama donde se pone la almohada.
No creo que sea errata, es un verso romántico.

headboard or header

Cabecera can also be used as synonym with encabezado (header) as in a document or piece of writing. But I agree with the previous answer; out of context "tu cabecera" seems to refer to the headboard or anything hanging on the wall over a bed.
