very general suffix
often corresponds to english -ist or -er, most often agent nouns of some kind. in hindi it's sometimes just a redundant suffix added to an adjective.
examples: taxiwalla - taxi driver
shop walla - shop worker
newspaper walla - journalist or other press worker
