German term
Fragen aufwerfen (here)
German to English
Art/Literary
Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting
African art
Text about art in general and the trend towards African art.
"Afrika fasziniert und wirft Fragen auf."
My problem with "Fragen aufwerfen" is that in English, to raise questions sounds very negative (to me, in this context). My solution so far is:
"Africa continues to fascinate and ______"
Can you think of a good solution here? Perhaps just another synonym for "faszinieren"?

Comment: ""Thought-provoking" worked out best for me. Honorable mention to Ian for "wonder." "

Africa (continues to) fascinate(s) people and make(s) them curious
a plainer version (perhaps too "down-to-earth"?)
OR "Africa - a continent that engenders fascination and conjures up [raises] curiosity"
Otherwise I'd go along with Ian's suggestion.

: Yep, a "fascinating and intriguing continent" (which is better than my "curiosity" IMHO) -> viele Grüße ;-)

Africa is full of fascination yet raises questions
is the tenor of the sentence, IMO

(As a continent) Africa is both fascinating and provocative
I see no need for the "continues to" beforehand
"provocative" means "exciting or stimulating" (acc. to Webster's Collegiate Dictionary)
