At the end of a marriage certificate it reads "Lecture faite, et invites a lire l'acte, les epoux (eventuellement les ascendants consentant au mariage) et les temoins ont signe avec nous, .... Any suggestions for the bracketed term much appreciated.

I also received the broader suggestion "ascendant relatives" which could refer to parents or possibly other blood relatives of next generation with authority to consent to the marriage where the bride and groom are minors. Discussion
Presumably, to give consent , they would have to be in a position of guardianship, but to be an "ascendant", they have to be family.
An alternative thought I had was "senior family members".
Or simply "family members"
What do people think?
