19th century text
The love of the Bible will show itself in a believer's "readiness to bear" evil as well as to do good. It will make him patient under provocation, forgiving when injured, meek when unjustly attacked, quiet when slandered. It will make him bear much and forbear much, put up with much and look over much, submit often and deny himself often, all for the sake of peace.

soportar
o resistir.
to endure, do without - según el Merriam Webster. También obsolete : to do without // to hold oneself back from especially with an effort

renunciar
Reference:
1 hr
abstenerce
bear = soportar, forbear = abstenerse
3 days 5 hrs
pasar de
bear much and forbear much = pasar mucho y de mucho
Something went wrong...
