Could be referring to the date the document was issued.
The abbreviation is A.D.

....but only if you got the direction wrong. Surprised, if not, you put the question in German?
A.D. means "Retired" in English.
I'm only putting up this suggestion because AFAIK, we don't usually use the abbreviation "A.D." for dates in the UK now - but for official documents like this, I may well be wrong!
