Source text - Chinese
Translation - English Forty years ago, China believed that backward productivity was the key issue to meeting people's growing material and cultural needs.
The principal contradiction in China’s society has become one between people's growing demand for a better life and its uneven and inadequate development. The domains of reform are not limited to economic, but also political, social, cultural and ecological, i.e. a "Five-in-One" reform, thus signifying China entering a new era. Market-oriented reforms of the economic system, and opening up externally in support of economic globalization, caused the path for China's industralization to feature a typical East Asian economic development model", leading to rapid growth of 9.7% p.a. on average. Forty years later, with the emergence of products, especially the abundance or even surpluses of manufactured products, against people's yearning for a better life lies the problems of unbalanced and inadequate supply, which is particularly prominent in the service industry, notably with the high-end services.

Particularly vigilant to the respective preferences in the choice of words of the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan audiences. Politically-sensitive
Received positive reviews particularly on making the translation even easier to understand than the original without loss of nuances or rhetorics (or even rhymes).
Experienced and equipped with rich TMs in providing official translations and annotations for public or business publications in China, which often explicitly or implicitly cite verbatim speeches of national leaders and quotable quotes from ancient literature, and both of which require utmost care in researching the official translated version (if any) - failing that, in formulating one that is coherent with the overall terminology.
Flexible to cater for weekend or next-day assignments.
