Colleagues from Spain, feel free to send me your suggestions as well. This is a translation of a legal Spanish-English translation of a deposition for a witness from Ecuador living here in The United States. He was working as a construction worker.
Here is the full paragraph:
Attorney: How the doctor decided to perform your surgery?
Witness from Ecuador: El doctor me dijo que los discos del cuello estaban dañados a causa del accidente de construcción que yo tuve en el 2021.

El doctor me operó y me insertó unos clavos en el cuello. Ahora tengo unos clavos en el cuello y me siento un poco mejor.
Attorney: Are you feeling a little better?
Witness from Ecuador: Si, me siento mejor aunque tengo todavía dolores en la parte baja de la espalda y en el hombro.

Transatlantically and Down Under, the patient might well be mis-describing a neck brace, rather than a Frankenstein fitting.
Otherwise, is more medical than legal.
