I just posted a two-part series on STAR Transit NXT.

The second part is on translating the document in the project, with the help of the imported resources:

For the first time, I've recorded and produced the videos at 1080p (1920x1080): watch on YouTube on a large display at the maximum definition for the best experience!

"Grid style" arrangement of the source and target segments Apr 29, 2015

A more "Grid style" arrangement of the source and target segments is very well possible in Transit NXT, since the green source pane and the red target pane can be freely positioned inside the Transit NXT window. A "horizontal" layout is very well possible.

BTW: It would be nice if Transit would allow export of projects to XLIFF.

Thanks, I didn't realize that! Also learned other things via a comment left on YouTube by Tristamson.

I think you have mentioned a previous version of Transit supported export to XLIFF. Since the feature is no longer present in the current version, chances are its removal was a deliberate decision (whatever the reason behind that decision was). STAR appears to be a rather secretive company, so it's difficult to know what is going on.

Alternative way to import terminology May 4, 2015

As a follow-up to the above, an alternative way to import terminology from Excel into Transit, using TMX and the free Heartsome TMX editor:

Much faster than the tab-delimited text file + custom import definition I used the first time around.

More Transit videos May 4, 2015

Recently I noticed that STAR finally managed to publish some videos:
http://www.star-group.net/en/star-campus/transit-termstar/webinar-records.html
It seems as they recorded some of their webinars. Good news for those who missed them live.

Regards,

O.N.

Regarding Heartsome TMX editor, make sure you download it from the "right" place:
