I see all that in Europe too, in fact, it's more like the standard way, except sometimes it's worded more courteously than the other times.

While that's notthing unusual these days, I do wonder why they'd ban you from mentioning your collaboration, though. It can be that they're protecting their secrets by preventing their translators from being identified for e.g. hacking attacks or investigation by the competition, it can be that they're protecting their image... or there can be other reasons. I do think translators need to stand up to business execs and sales people etc. who lose their grip on reality.
