Translation - Italian Due fratelli, di cui non dirò i nomi, erano miei cari amici ai tempi delle superiori, ma dopo che non ci siamo visti per molto tempo abbiamo perso i contatti. Tempo fa mi giunse notizia che uno dei due si era ammalato seriamente, così quando stavo tornando nel mio vecchio villaggio, cambiai strada per andarli a trovare, ma ne incontrai solo uno , il più grande, che mi spiegò che il fratello malato era quello più giovane.
“Apprezzo molto che tu abbia fatto tutta questa strada per venirci a trovare, ma ormai mio fratello è guarito da molto tempo e ora ricopre un posto come burocrate dell’Impero” disse.
Poi dopo una grande risata, mi mostrò due diari, facendomi notare che da questi due volumi si poteva notare il genere di malattia che aveva avuto suo fratello e che non aveva nessuna vergogna nel farli vedere ad un vecchio amico. Leggendo il diario mi resi subito conto che il mio amico aveva sofferto di manie di persecuzione. Il modo in cui erano scritti era molto confusa e senza un filo logico, a volte le frasi avevano significati assurdi; non avendo datato i propri scritti, l’unico modo per comprendere quello che era stato scritto nello stesso momento era il colore dell’inchiostro.
Alcune parti invece potevano avere un senso logico e le ho copiate per poter usarle nella ricerca medica. Non ho cambiato nessuna parola dei racconti illogici del diario, solamente i nomi ho ritenuto giusto sostituirli pur sapendo che i protagonisti sono persone comuni, gente del popolo, sconosciuti al mondo. Anche il titolo del libro non è una mia scelta, ma fu proprio chi lo ha scritto che una volta guarito ha deciso di chiamarlo così.
