Dear ProZians,
We are devastated by the news that our colleague and staff member Justin has died in a car accident. It was last night. He was only 22.
Justin's extraordinary warmth and enthusiasm could be felt by anyone who came into contact with him. He was brilliant, and was always ready to drop everything to help someone out. Justin's extraordinary warmth and enthusiasm could be felt by anyone who came into contact with him. He was brilliant, and was always ready to drop everything to help someone out. Those of us who worked with him every day are blessed to have known such a bright and good spirit, and it is painful to think about what his future might have held. He will be sorely missed.
For those of you who did not know him, a "birthday gift" given by another staff member, Romina, to Justin last week will give you a small sense of the way Justin inspired us: http://www.proz.com/Happybirthdayjustin.ppt
We are going to prepare messages of condolence for Justin's family and friends. If you wish to add a message of remembrance or support, you are invited to do so here.

I just can't believe that Justin will not answer my Skype messages. So many times I have called him "Hola amigo" and he would answer in some broken Spanish. Then I would have a meaningful but always good humored exchange.
A great developer with a huge sense of community, many times I called him to ask for his opinion about issues very far away from programming.

This is sadness beyond description.

I was extremely shocked to read this message. Justin was so young.
I remember he helped me out instantly when I sent a ticket concerning a problem.
My sincerest condolences to his family and his near and dear ones.
regards
Sandhya

"My brotha from anotha motha!"
That's a phrase that I will always remember.
Since the day I met him during my interview to become a ProZ Staff member, I started enjoy his company and his sense of humor.
He was a GREAT PERSON. Someone you could learn from, you could have fun from.
Justin, Im PROUD of what you did in your 22 years, here, around us.
We will miss you. | |

I never had much opportunity to get to know him, like I know a few other staff members, that were prompt replying and helping. 22 years is damn too young to die. Very bad and I convey my deepest condolescences. Can anyone tell me how this accident happened. Brandis | | | Ralf Lemster Germany Local time: 23:34 English to German + ... I'm lost for words.
I first had the chance to meet Justin when I visited ProZ.com a couple of years ago. The memory of that evening is still vivid - a great guy indeed.
Hope his family and friends will find the strength to deal with this immense loss.
Ralf

It is really a tragic loss!
