For at least a decade I have been receiving work mostly in EN/PT (even from French clients) when before things were rather balanced between EN/PT and FR/PT and very unbalanced in my other language pairs (ES/PT and IT/PT).

Same here. I am wondering if we could see this trend reverse with the increase of MT as it mostly affects English and it often serves as a pivot for other languages. I might have received a little bit more of FR/LV work lately, although it is still not enough to draw any conclusions and there could be other reasons for that as well.
