I just need a self-tidying desk. For some reason, its horizontal surfaces can't stay clear more than a couple of hours.

I have a very calm and quiet office at the back of my apartment with everything I need to work, though it’s a very small space (no mess allowed). My apartment has a nice veranda at the front and sometimes I take my laptop and work there…

I see my neighbor’s house through the window, and they also tend to be loud. Also have a crazy loud dog, and I sometimes have business phone calls.
I’d enjoy a panoramic view, like the one we have on the other side of the house, from our living room.
As for the rest, I set it up according to my own needs and preferences. And keep adjusting it, as needed. Eg. more cushions on the chair. My desk is set up exactly as I would like it. At my back is a window to our garden, which is open whenever the outside temperature allows so the bird songs can get in.
To anyone but me, my workplace will look extremely untidy but this works well for me - I like to have my papers and other things covering any surface I am not working on. Plus some photographs, a bowl of nuts for when I need a snack, a training schedule, old postcards reminding me of several friends, etc. A tidy desk... The only thing I would like to be different is the desk itself - I would like it to be adjustable in height, so I can work standing. However, as those desks tend to be expensive and I do like my current desk (it used to belong to my grandmother), I have never seriously considered getting another desk. ▲ Collapse

...to tell, but I have a nice view onto the Mediterranean sea, planes landing on Nice airport, lots of light and a nice terrace-garden.
My office isn't too large, but enough to have a recording booth, a sit-stand desk, my wife's desk and three monitors.
...and a lot of dust, too.
So I can say that I'm satisfied.

I have a nice garden, large terrace, lots of shrubs and trees. But it's on the others sides around the house. In front of my office window I have some shrubs and a peach tree, some grass. But I also have the back wall of my neighbor's house that can be seen through all this. Right now, the leaves and grass almost all gone, hopefully will be replaced with the velvety whiteness of snow.
