Dude, where's my "Other"?
FWIW, AFAIK, my earnings are roughly the same - but I haven't looked yet. As long as the work keeps coming in steadily, I don't feel the need to be constantly evaluating and assessing (obsessing over) my situation.

Yes, where is the other option.
Sorry, but this is, once again, one of the candidates for the top ten useless questions by anonymous for this year!
Seriously, who actually keeps track of such things purposly?

Also missing the "other" option... | Dec 1, 2016 |
2015 was an exceptional year for me, so I didn’t mind at all when things started to slow down a little in 2016 as I needed some rest, but then quite suddenly (as it often happens in this profession) things picked up like mad and I haven’t stopped since mid-October and I’ll keep working like that until mid-December (my deadline). All in all, it will be a very good year for me! Better than 2015? I don't know yet...

I worked much more than last year, despite my efforts to reduce my activity. Thank you for reminding me that my plan is not working.
This has been my most hard-working year so far, translation-wise. I might even have to pay tax, if it carries on like this.
I've made a conscious effort to work less. So I'm very fussy about any new clients, and pretty fussy about the old ones too. Demand however has been steadily rising.
I have worked steadily and that's enough to know.
I do not know the numbers (although I know how much I earn per month - more or less obviously).
But work less can have a loto of meanings:
1) less requests
2) more free time
3) higher rates and more free time
4) personal choice to work less
Anyway, I have worked every day so far and that makes me happy

I took quite a lot of time off this year, for holidays, volunteering, organising a big event, days out.
I liked it and will probably do it again next year.

My workflow seems to be up and down like a yo-yo throughout the year. One August might be flat out; the next might be really, really slow etc. So I often worry that I'm not going to end the year with as much income as I'd like. But in the end it has a remarkable way of coming out more or less the same each year. There's no doubt some statistical name for it, but I'm just glad when each year works out to be a reasonably good one. Not too much work and not too little income ... This were slower for me in 2016 by choice. I gave birth in Dec of 2015, so I took on less work to focus on raising my child.

I developed better marketing methods, replaced bad clients with better ones, and got more jobs this year than last year. I mean, not an extra mountain, but statistically more for sure. Last year, I refused very few jobs and did many jobs I considered for peanuts. This year, I refused a lot of jobs and ZERO peanuts. I hope it will stay that way for good.
