Hi Catherine.
The sessions are pre-recorded and broadcast. We actively monitor the broadcast for any issues. I can confirm that the audio was streamed flawlessly for Jeff's session. The issue you describe, is an indication that the internet connection/speed on your end is insufficient to stream the session.
You can try to close all other applications and programs, like Skype, Outlook etc and refresh the page to see if the connection on your end improves. All session... See more Hi Catherine.

You can try to close all other applications and programs, like Skype, Outlook etc and refresh the page to see if the connection on your end improves. All sessions also include a "low bandwidth"option lower on the session page. There is some text right below the video play that describes this.
Simply scroll down on the page, and play the "low bandwidth" option. This low bandwidth option can be paused, giving the video time to buffer for proper playback.

Hi everybody!
I was looking forward to attending the sessions today, but deadlines came in the way.
Now I finally have time to enter, but the "sessions" tab is not working, just getting to a "dead end".
Will try again a bit later, hopefully it will work before closing time!

You can watch any of the sessions in on-demand (recording) just visit the same session page. If you're having trouble getting to the session tab - try to refresh your browser, clear the cache and visit http://www.proz.com/virtual-conferences/361/program

I am disappointed that the focus for the "advanced" translator skills day has been on post-editing. I accept there are those who enjoy cleaning up garbage, but this is not the "advanced" segment of the field.

This is the first (of two!) post-editing and MT presentations today, out of 6 (so one-third is not exactly "focusing", there are 2 thirds on other topics

I was shut out of the event held this morning between 8:30 Am and 9:30 AM CDT. My entire computer crashed and I've spend over half an hour and more trying to restore it's systems.
The message that I receive when I attempt to regain access is that I am not "certified"? What the ....?

The ability to ask questions was initially limited to members of the Certified Pro network, however that was only the first session. All other sessions allow questions by any ProZ.com member.
