Powwow: Malmö - Sweden
|
|
Arrangements | Aug 30, 2007 |
Sure, I can make some arrangements although I've never been to one of these powwows. Should we all meet in a café or perhaps Malmö Konsthall (The Art Center)? I'm happy to get suggestions from all of you!

Hej,
I don´t know Malmö, so my suggestion is that the meeting place should be somewhere central or near the railway station. But Malmö konsthall sounds greats to my ears and eyes!
Hälsningar,

well the town actually is not that big, so you can move easily around in the centre from the central station etc. To meet at Malmö konsthall for a visit sounds nice. But should we not gather at a more cosy and relaxed cafe' after that, or for lunch before? On the powwows I have attended, eating was the main event, so I might be a bit coloured by that.:-)

Well, although the town is indeed quite small, Malmö konsthall is not really a walking distance from the central station - unless you're up for a 20-min walk. It could be an idea to meet somewhere closer, my suggestion is Bishop's Arms pub, right opposite the station, next to Savoy hotel. I am not quite sure about their opening hours though, think they open around 17.00. Best,

a 15-20 minutes walk maximum would be at walking distance to me, but that's fair enough if we meet anywhere closer. As I do not know who's the organizer and what time was decided from the beginning I guess we need to decide time and a rough place. There are many nice places around Lilla Torg, which is 5 minutes from the station and should be allright for everybody. So I guess we should just decide at what time and then just choose one of the pubs or cafes there.

I agree that time is a crucial point. Just as a reference, the last “feasible” train departs at 19:14 from Malmö-Jönköping . Obviously the meeting can continue… but if it starts at 17 I could not attend it. Anyway I think the best time solution should take in consideration the needs of all and then I see if I can go or not.

If anyone need a place to crash, I could provide with a couple of overnight beds. Live quite near the trainstation Malmö Syd
should we decide at 14.00 on Sunday 14th then? We can meet somewhere close to the station as Gustav Adolfs torg. Would that suit you all then?

Thank you, Vibekke, for your nice invitation! But I have classes Monday morning.
Lampedus proposal fits me very well. I suggest we have a mobile number for eventual contact.
En trevlig söndag! | | |

Tyvärr verkar det nu som om jag blir upptagen av ett annat åtagande, som jag nog inte kan utebli från - beklagar!
So are we on then for Sunday? Who will attend? And I can stand as organizer, if we need any, haven't really understood how that works with proz.com, but guess we only arrange to meet. You can write me an email separately thos of you who are coming etc.:-)
Hello,
I am coming - have we set the time for 14.00?
