Source text - English Health Impact Assessment (HIA) may be defined as a combination of procedures, methods and tools that systematically judges the potential, and sometimes unintended, effects of a policy, plan, programme or project on the health of a population and the distribution of those effects within the population. HIA identifies appropriate
actions to manage those effects.
Planning regulates the use of land in urban and rural areas and thus has great potential to influence health. Planning considers human health but legislation tends to focus on ensuring that aspects of the physical environment such as air, water and noise do not harm health. There are increasing calls for ensuring that planning decisions seek explicitly to improve health and to contribute to the wider public health: for example reducing obesity, improving mental health and well-being and addressing climate change. The Royal Town Planning Institute sets out the context for planning and health policy in England, Scotland and Wales.

In comparison with other European countries, natural gas plays a very important role in the Dutch energy supply system. Both on-land and in the North sea, large natural gas reserves are exploited. As a result, natural gas is the major fossil fuel for production of electricity and heat.
The national energy policy aims to secure energy supply for the future and reduce emissions from the energy sector. The Netherlands has adopted the following official policy goals:
• A share of 9% renewables in electricity production in 2010 (according to EU Renewable Electricity Directive). In 2006, the share of renewables was 6.5%.
• A share of 10% renewables in overall energy supply in 2020. Currently (2005) this share is 2.4%.
Main drivers for biofuels policy
The main driver for biofuel policies in Netherlands is to decrease the CO2 emissions from transport. For all sectors except transport, CO2 emissions have decreased over the last years. Other drivers like security of supply and an opportunity for people in rural areas have been mentioned but are of less importance in the Netherlands.

Rokasgrāmata “Publisko pasākumu organizēšanai dabas teritorijās” izstrādātas ar mērķi apkopot un nodot tālāk Lauku ceļotāja uzkrāto pieredzi un zināšanas pasākumu plānošanā un vadīšanā dabas teritorijās.
Lauku ceļotājs savā 15 gadus pastāvēšanas laikā ir vadījis vairākus nacionāla un starptautiska mēroga nozīmīgus pasākumus un projektus, kuru laikā uzkrāta pieredze, kā veiksmīgi organizēt publiskus pasākumus, kā veidot attiecības ar masu medijiem, valsts, pašvaldību institūcijām, vietējiem iedzīvotājiem, NVO un uzņēmējiem.
Kā praktiskais piemērs ir analizēta Slīteres ceļotāju diena, ko organizēja Lauku ceļotājs sadarbībā ar Dundagas novada domi, Slīteres nacionālā parka administrāciju un Līvu fondu 2010. gada 12. jūnijā.

The Handbook “For Organization of Public Events in Nature Areas” has been drafted for the purpose of summarizing and passing on the experience, amassed by „Countryside Traveller”, and its knowledge of the planning and the management of the events in nature areas.
Within 15 years of its performance, “Countryside Traveller” (“Lauku ceļotājs”) has conducted several significant events and projects on a national and international scale, as a result of which experience has been gained of how to organize public events successfully, and how to build a relationship with the mass media, the public and local government authorities, local residents, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and entrepreneurs.
A practical example is provided by the analysis of the Travel Day to Slītere (TDS), which was organized by “Countryside Traveller” in collaboration with the Council of Dundaga District, the administration of the Slītere National Park (SNP) and the Liiv Foundation on 12th June, 2010.

Translation plays a prominent role in my life. This is why I did a BA and MA in English Philology with the specialization in translation at the Faculty of Modern Languages of the University of Latvia. After quitting the career in the English language teaching, I spent three years working as a full time translator for Ltd "LATED" (Riga). At that time I did LV/EN and EN/LV translations: legislation, contracts, business and legal translations, correspondence and other. In 2011 I started my career as a freelancer. I have been working mainly for translation agencies, becoming involved in long-term collaboration with them. The scope of the translation assignments includes contracts, tender documentation, certificates, business and legal translations, construction-related texts, websites, correspondence, commercial, technical and other text types. In my spare time I learn to paint and visit the museums and art galleries.
