I was born in the Netherlands, and I grew up in Canada, where I received full bilingual education in English and French, and completed my high school education in 1996 with Honours standing, with English Literature and French as my main subjects. In 2006, I graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a B.Sc. degree in Social Anthropology, cum laude. I have been learning Spanish since 2004. I hold an M.A. Latin America Studies, having conducted field research in Chile. I am a native speaker of both English and Dutch, and fluent in French and Spanish. I am an academic writer and researcher, and a fan of English and Spanish literature and poetry. In my spare time, I like to tutor and teach English and French as a second language.

I have experience with various types of documents such as subtitles for film, user reviews and test reports of photographic equipment, letters, blogs, websites, advertising, restaurant menus, academic articles, and poetry. I do not shy away from poetic, technical, academic, or colloquial language use. Of course, all documents are kept strictly confidential, and are delivered on time.
