To whom it may concern,

my name is Benjamin Rosendahl, and I have been working as a freelance translator for the last 10 years (German, English and Hebrew). I am an active member in good standing of both the American and the Israeli Translators Association. Recently, I was appointed to be Treasurer of the Israeli Translators Association. Briefly, I will outline some of my qualifications and their relevancy.

I was born and raised in Germany, where I lived for the first 20 years of my life. German, then, is my mother tongue and I am completely fluent in all aspects of the language. I further acquired fluency in English and Hebrew, with a working knowledge in Arabic and French.

I graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, with two BA degrees in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. The university placed considerable emphasis on language acquisition, and my language proficiency coupled with my background in international relations and area studies will, I believe, enable me to fulfill the duties of many translation projects ably and well.

Finally, I would like to point out that I also work as a freelance journalist, often focussing on topics connected to translation. Here is an example:
