An experienced IT professional, science graduate and linguist, I offer Spanish to English translation services for science, technology, business and IT

I provide technical translations to clients across a range of industry sectors, including steelmaking, academia, hydrology, energy supply, construction and popular science publishing. As a science graduate and former IT consultant and software developer, I draw on my considerable knowledge and experience within these technical domains to produce accurate translations that faithfully adhere to the stylistic norms of the particular genre. Language and teaching
I hold a first-class honours degree in modern language studies with English and Spanish. I first started learning Spanish a number of years ago when I moved to Spain, where I taught English as a foreign language. I returned to the UK in 2006 and still make regular visits to Spain to keep up to date with the language and culture.

Science and technology
I hold a first-class honours degree in physics and astronomy and have spent time working in astrophysical research. As a Member of the Institute of Physics I maintain an active interest in the sciences and have expert knowledge of scientific terminology and writing styles.

Business and IT
I hold a master’s degree in business information technology systems and worked for many years in IT and business consulting. I have written, edited, proofread and/or translated IT and business documentation, including design specifications, test documentation, presentations, project proposals and user manuals.
