From Fragmented Workflow to Connected Workspace: Translation, Context and Content in Let’s Gen AI
In the localization process translation memories, terminology decisions, brand context, reviewer feedback, projects and content needs often live across several disconnected tools – which results in wasted time and inconsistency.
The session shows what changes when those pieces are brought into one environment — and where professional judgement is still indispensable.
It aims to recognise where fragmentation creates repeated work and inconsistency and helps you understand how a client workspace can preserve context across translation, content tasks and teams without losing the tone of voice.
See how client context can support content creation and localization without turning AI output into an unquestioned final deliverable.

After originally specialising in industrial and environment engineering (mineral processing, mining, air-conditioning, recycling, waste and wastewater, etc.), the demise of my main client led to a change in orientation.
Much of my work is now related to sport, especially football, and tourism.
In the area of sport my main clients are FC Schalke 04 and the VELTINS Arena, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE), allsport and Stadtmarketing Gelsenkirchen (2006 FIFA World Cup website)
I also work for FIFA in a variety of areas (FIFA Magazine, Activity Report, Legal, Dispute Resolution and Disciplinary). In 2006 I had the pleasure of translating the official Technical Report for the World Cup.
Before going solo I worked as an estate management translator and interpreter for the Ministry of Defence, having graduated from Sheffield Polytechnic with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages (German and French) and Political Studies in 1985.
