Bio
I am an experienced translator and editor.
I work fast, accurately, and on time.
I am a Biochemical Engineer, with a master’s from MIT.
I have also studied Anthropology at the University of Queretaro, Mexico.
I have been a college professor.
I have more than 20 years experience as an editor, and have directed a publishing house in Mexico, Ediciones Vieira (www.vieira.com.mx).

Besides translation, I have experience in both editing and design, layout and production supervision. I have full domain of all Macintosh-based publishing software: InDesign, Freehand, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.

In 1985 I became a member of the American Translators Association, obtaining the English-Spanish Certification. I did translation and interpreting work in the Boston area, while I was a student at MIT. I have kept working as a free-lance translator. I am an active member of ATA.
