I offer translation and interpreting services in the following languages: English, German, Portuguese and Dutch

I was born in 1953 in Zurich, Switzerland and graduated in Remedial Education in Aberdeen, Scotland. From there my life took me to the pioneering project of the ecological Farm-community Estância Demétria in Brazil. The foundation group consisted of a German, a Dutch, a Uruguayan, a Norwegian and I myself, a Swiss. As Demétria was a pioneer project of ecologic agriculture in Brasil, we often received different specialists from Europe, whose lectures and seminars I translated. We also always had many probationers from Europe. In this way I learned to translate, to speak and think in different languages.

There I worked for 13 years in the general management of the organisation and helped to build up the community with different social and industrial enterprises, one of which is a Waldorf school on the farm, counting today with more than 400 pupils who come from surrounding farms and the nearby city.
Then I did a training i Systemic Family Therapy and Biographic Counselling and started to attend clients in my practice. I also gave biographic courses and did a lot of interpreting in seminars and lectures.

My wife Annemarie is Dutch. The first 20 years of our marriage we spoke English together, due to the fact that we met in Scotland. When we lived in the Netherlands for 9 years we spoke Dutch and now that we live again in Brazil we speak Portuguese with our clients, and sometimes also between ourselves.
