I have worked in the translation industry for almost all my professional career (26 years), as a project manager and proofreader, and now lately also as an English to Swedish translator. I studied natural science and technology in upper secondary school and business administration, languages (English and French) and international economics at Linköping university where I graduated in 1992. I have also taken university courses in environmental economy and Portuguese. My background has helped me a lot when working with checking and revision of translations, as I have a good understanding of a broad range of subjects, including CSR, marketing, finance, software, technology and electronics.

I still work as a project manager in my own translation agency, but I take on translation work when the time allows me to.

If you want a translation that flows like an original Swedish text I'm the right translator for your project. I always make the effort to convey the meaning instead of the exact words when I translate, so I ask myself questions like "how would we say this in a natural way in Swedish?" and "what does this really mean?". This means I go through my work many times before I am happy with the result. English and Swedish have many words that appear to be the same, but the meaning can be slightly different, so it's important not to take the easy way and use the same word, even if they sound similar. I can also provide TEP, copy translation, and editing.

Having worked with editing and proofreading of translations for 26 years, I have extensive experience in the translation industry and I have seen translations from almost any industry and department.

My preferred areas of work are: brochures, advertisements, press releases, user manuals, instructions, websites, apps, codes of conduct, product descriptions and many more.

If your client was not happy with a translation into Swedish, I can check the work and give you an objective opinion (correctness, spelling, grammar, style etc.). I have extensive experience in editing and proofreading human translations, so I also take on post-editing jobs.

I put in a lot of effort and take pride in my work, so I'm not interested in low budget translations.
