My parents where keen travellers and by the time I was a young adult, we had been to nearly 20 countries. at the age of 9 we moved permanently to live in Granada, south of Spain. My sister and I attended spanish state school and quickly learnt the language to the point where we have often been asked to do impromptu translations for people in need, even when we where children.

Since then I have worked in several fields, that either used my language skills directly or relied on them indirectly. Interpreting at courts and in the police stations, translating legal documents and contracts for clients, teaching english and spanish as foreign languages, working as part of an international team where several languages where used simultaneously, in the UK, Spain, France, Holland, and Argentina.
