Die Strahlkraft des neuen amerikanischen Präsidenten ist ungebrochen; vor allem in Amerika, das mitten in einer großen Krise steckt und alle Hoffnungen auf einen Mann, den neuen Präsidenten richtet. Er hat mit seiner im Wahlkampf durchschlagenden Rhetorik (Change, Hope und Yes we can) den Erwartungspegel hochgefahren. In Amerika leiden Hunderttausende unter der Krise; ein soziales Netz, das die Stürzenden auffängt, gibt es dort nicht. Deshalb richten sich alle Hoffnungen auf den Präsidenten, der jetzt zeigen muss, dass … Yes he can. Es bleibt Obama keine Wahl: Er muss sich zumindest in den ersten 1 ½ Jahren auf die Innenpolitik konzentrieren. Dort, im eigenen Land muss er sich zuerst bewähren.
Das hindert ihn allerdings nicht, außenpolitische Signale auszusenden, auf die die Welt wartet. Wirklich die Welt? Ich denke, ja; denn trotz der Krise und des schweren Erbes der Bush-Jahre wird Amerika auch in Zukunft noch lange die eine Supermacht bleiben, die sie im 20. Jahrhundert geworden ist. Mag sein, dass wir schon heute in einer multipolaren Welt leben; aber die Pole sind unterschiedlich stark. Russland will als Großmacht auf gleicher Augenhöhe anerkannt werden, ist es aber nicht mehr. China und Indien sind es noch nicht. Und die EU ist noch immer weit davon entfernt, mit einer europäischen Stimme zu sprechen.
Rückzug aus dem Irak
Also Amerika! Die Signale, die von Washington in den ersten Wochen ausgegangen sind verdeutlichen den Willen zur Kurskorrektur.
- Die Kooperation mit den (europäischen) Bündnispartnern soll verstärkt werden. Die Formel lautet: Amerika ist bereit mehr zu tun, erwartet aber auch mehr von den Partnern.
- Im Verhältnis zu Russland hat sich die Tonlage verändert. Das Thema Abrüstung (auch nuklear) wird neu auf die Tagesordnung gesetzt.
- Die Beziehungen zur islamischen Welt sollen auf der Basis von Interessen und gegenseitigem Respekt verbessert werden. Die Faust richtet sich ausschließlich gegen jene, die zerstören statt aufzubauen.
- Das Nahost-Problem soll sofort angegangen werden, nicht erst – wie zuvor unter Präsident Bush – am Ende der Legislaturperiode.
- Rückzug aus dem Irak. Verstärkung der Bemühungen um Stabilität in Afghanistan. Eine neue Strategie soll helfen: Mehr amerikanische Soldaten; größere Anstrengungen bei der Ausbildung von afghanischen Soldaten und Polizisten (hier vor allem sollen die Bündnispartner mehr Hilfe leisten); Verstärkung der zivilen Aufbauhilfe in den Regionen (was zugleich als Kritik gegen Kabul und Karzai zu verstehen ist); Einbeziehung der Nachbarn Afghanistans: zuerst Pakistan aber auch Iran;
- Bereitschaft zu Gesprächen auch mit Iran.
Auffällig, dass Obama die Formel „Krieg gegen den Terrorismus“ nicht benutzt; dass er zugleich erste Schritte unternommen bzw. vorbereitet hat, um die Wertorientierung amerikanischer Politik zu demonstrieren (Sicherheit nicht zu Lasten amerikanischer Ideale). Das Gefangenenlager Guantanamo soll binnen einen Jahres aufgelöst, Verhörmethoden, die die Grenze zur Folter überschreiten, sollen verboten bzw. geahndet werden.
Eine der großen Stärken Amerikas ist die Fähigkeit des Landes zur Selbstkorrektur. Dies beweist sich in diesen Tagen und Wochen. Das hilft dem Land im Inneren und nach Außen. Mit Obama hat sich das Image der USA weltweit verbessert. Auch in kritischen Ländern zeigt sich so etwas wie Bewunderung für ein Land, das einen schwarzen Präsidenten wählt und bejubelt. Das könnte helfen, eine neue kluge amerikanische Macht zu begründen. Macht, die sich auf harte Fähigkeiten stützt aber mehr noch auf den Vorbildcharakter des amerikanischen Modells. Dies erreicht zu haben, ist der erste Erfolg des neuen Präsidenten.

Translation - English Obama – a great pillar of hope?

The enormous appeal of the new American president has not abated; especially in an America embroiled in a major crisis where people are pinning their hopes on one man. He lifted expectations with lofty rhetoric in the campaign (change, hope and Yes we can). Hundreds of thousands of Americans have been hit hard by the crisis and there is no safety net to catch those that are falling. Now all hope rests with a president who must demonstrate, that indeed, yes he can. Obama has no choice: For the first 1.5 years he will have to focus on domestic policy. He has to prove he can deliver in his own country first.
Of course this should not prevent him from engaging in foreign policy, and the world is waiting with baited breath for him to do so. Really, the whole world? I believe so; America became the world’s sole superpower in the 20th century and will retain that title for some time to come despite the financial crisis and the complicated legacy the Bush administration left behind. It may be true that today we live in a multi-polar world; but the poles are by no means in the same league. Russia seeks recognition as an equal partner, but no longer warrants that position. China and India have similar ambitions, but aren’t quite there yet. And the EU is still far removed from speaking with one voice.
Withdrawal from Iraq
Get to it, America! The signals that Washington sent in the very first weeks of the Obama administration clearly indicate a strong will to change course.
- Co-operation with (European) allies will be stepped up. The new line is: America is prepared to do more, but expects more from its partners in return.
- Relations with Russia have also seen a change of tone. Disarmament (including nuclear) is back on the agenda.
- Relations with the Muslim world should be improved based on mutual respect and interests. Force will be brought to bear only on those that seek to destroy rather than to build.
- The issue of the Middle East will be tackled immediately and not – as was the case under President Bush – toward the end of the presidency.
- Withdrawal from Iraq. Stepped up efforts to achieve stability in Afghanistan. A new strategy should be helpful that not only increases the number of American soldiers deployed to the area, but includes increased efforts to train Afghani soldiers and police (this is where the allies will be asked to pitch in most); increased civilian reconstruction in the region (can be taken as a criticism directed at Kabul and Karzai); inclusion of Afghanistan’s neighbours: first Pakistan and then Iran;
- Willingness to engage with Iran.
It strikes me as rather interesting that Obama did not use the phrase “War on Terrorism”, rather prepared and took initial steps to demonstrate the values of American policy (security without sacrificing American ideals). The prison camp at Guatanamo is slated to be closed within a year, interrogations methods that crossed over into torture will be outlawed and perpetrators punished.
One of America’s greatest strengths lies in its ability to redefine itself. This is what we have been witnessing over the last days and weeks. This character trait is a great advantage for the country, both domestically and internationally. The USA’s image has improved greatly with the election of Obama as even countries typically critical of the USA have expressed admiration for a country that has elected a black president and supports him the way America does. This could pave the way for establishing a smart, new American power – power that rests on military capabilities but is driven by the role-model character of the American way. The new president has chalked up a first success by reviving this appealing aspect of America.

Gute Q4-Zahlen und das Ausbleiben einer bösen Überraschung beim Ausblick haben der Aktie von SAP zum Höhenflug verholfen. Die Kombination aus mehrheitlich schwachen Quartalszahlen und negativen Ausblicken der Großunternehmen dürfte aber dazu führen, dass die Marktforschungsinstitute die Wachstumserwartungen zum globalen IT- und Softwaremarkt nochmals revidieren werden. Diese Annahme sollte die SAP-Aktie unter Druck setzen, zumal Q1/09 u. E. kaum Raum für positive Überraschungen bietet. Entsprechend empfehlen wir das jetzt erreichte hohe Kurs-niveau zum Ausstieg aus der Aktie zu nutzen. Aus Bewertungsgründen erhöhen wir aber unser Kursziel von 23€ auf 26€.

Diese Figuren agieren in einem ebenfalls vollkommen neuen und in dieser Produktion erstmals erprobten szenischen Rahmen: einer nahtlosen Integration von Trickfilm und live gespieltem Figurentheater. Dabei sind die Grenzen absolut fließend, die Handlung passiert auf allen Ebenen zur gleichen Zeit, Trickfilm und Bühnenspiel sind Teil des selben Bühnengeschehens, gehen kontinuierlich ineinander über, „ergänzen“ sich nicht nur, sondern sind an sich bereits eins.
Die einzelnen Projektionsflächen sind auf der Bühne beweglich, sie ordnen sich in jeder Szene neu an und bilden einen integralen Bestandteil des Bühnenbildes und der Spielfläche. Personen, Figuren und Gegenstände wechseln im Lauf des Spiels zwischen den Ebenen, ein auf die Projektionsfläche gezeichnetes chinesisches Schriftzeichen kann zur Figur geworden, aus dieser heraustreten und dreidimensional auf der Bühne weiter spielen, sich dort sogar weiter verändern, nur um später wieder zur Zeichnung und Projektion zu werden.

These characters appear in a completely new type of production featuring the seamless integration of animation and live puppet theatre. The border between the two is completely fluid as the plot unfolds on both planes at the same time. Animated film and performance are united on stage where they interact seamlessly, not only "complementing" each other but virtually appearing as one.
The projection screens are an integral part of the stage design and can be moved to different parts of the stage so no two scenes are alike. People, characters and objects shift between the planes throughout the play. A Chinese character written on the screen can transform into a character in the play, coming alive out of the screen for a three-dimensional performance on the stage where it continues to evolve, only to later turn back a into character projected on the screen.

Anwendung
a) Vertragsgegenstand. Der vorliegende Rahmenvertrag (nachstehend „Vertrag“) legt die Bedingungen für die Lieferung von Produkten und die Erbringung verwandter Leistungen fest, die der Lieferant an eine unserer Tochtergesellschaft liefert bzw. erbringt und die während der Laufzeit des Vertrags, wie weiter unten festgelegt, bestellt wurden.
b) Definitionen.
“X-Tochtergesellschaften” bezieht sich auf jedes Unternehmen, das direkt oder indirekt im Besitz der XX Global GmBH ist oder von ihr kontrolliert wird.
c) Begleitverträge. X-Tochtergesellschaften beauftragen den Lieferanten mit der Lieferung von Produkten mittels eines Begleitvertrags. Danach bestellt die X-Tochtergesellschaft die Lieferung individueller Produkte mittels eines Auftrags an den Lieferanten.
d) Anwendung der Bestimmungen des vorliegenden Vertrags auf die Begleitverträge. Die Bestimmungen dieses Vertrags gelten als Bestandteil jedes Begleitvertrags, der zwischen einem Lieferanten und einer X-Tochtergesellschaft während der Laufzeit dieses Vertrags abgeschlossen wird. Application
a) Subject of agreement. This framework agreement (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") stipulates the conditions for the delivery of products and the provision of related services by the supplier to one of our subsidiaries during the term of the agreement. b) Definitions.
"X-subsidiaries" refers to any company that is directly or indirectly owned or controlled by XX Global GmbH.
c) Collateral contract. X-subsidiaries commission the supplier to deliver products using a collateral contract. X-subsidiary then orders the delivery of specific products by placing an order with the supplier.
d) Application of the provisions in this agreement to collateral contracts. The provisions of this agreement shall be deemed part of any collateral contract concluded between a supplier and an X-subsidiary during the term of this agreement. They shall be applied subject to the proviso that the terms "X" and "supplier" refer to the parties to such collateral contract. The provisions in force at the time the agreement is concluded shall apply.
In the event contradictions should arise, the provisions of the collateral agreement shall apply (excluding the pre-printed terms and conditions) and not those of this agreement. The general terms and conditions of the supplier are ineffective and shall not apply to the collateral contract.
