Bio
I have specialised in French to English legal translation for over 18 years, working for direct, professional clients (French notaries, avocats, bailiffs, etc.). I do some French translations of English legal documents as I have an in-house French-speaking reviser (my wife!) - that gives me a sound knowledge of real English legal texts and helps me to translate better into English.

I am a MITI (translation, FR>EN, Business). I successfully passed the IoLET DipTrans in 2014 - I reckon that however much translating experience one may have, there's nothing like translation exams to teach you how to try that little bit harder!

I have also given weekly lessons in legal English to a group of senior judges at my local TGI.
