Dr. Daniel Alemu is one of the founding fathers of Gelawdewos Fine Arts and
Humanitarian Foundation. He is a graduate from the Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law. In December 2001 he received his LL.D. degree in International
Law and International Relations from Austria. Currently, he is a practicing
lawyer and director of Gelawdewos Foundation. "Gelawdewos" stands for the
Christian name of Prof. Claude Sumner, one of the founding fathers of Addis Ababa University in 1953. Likewise, Dr. Daniel is among one of the reliable lawyers selected by the US and German Embassies in Addis Ababa to advice their citizens. Some International companies like Golden Trade Co. have retained his Law Firm to represent their co. and advice them in Ethiopia.
On the capacity of Assistant Professor of Law, he has taught at the Alemaya University and Unity University College after securing his Doctor of Laws degree.
