English to French: Watching the World: Is TV harmful to toddlers?

WATCHING THE WORLD: Television harmful to toddlers?
“Very young children who watch television face an increasing risk of attention deficit problems by school age”. Reported The Herald of Mexico City. The report cites a study published in the medical journal Pediatrics involving two groups totaling 1,345 children- one group, of one-year olds and the other of three-year olds. According to the study, every hour of television the children watched per day increased by 10 percent their risk of suffering attention problems at age seven. The researchers believe that the “unrealistically fast-paced visual images typical of most TV programming may alter normal brain development” in toddlers. “The truth is there are lots of reasons for children not to watch television”, said Dr. Dimitri Christakis, author of the study. “Other studies have shown TV viewing to be associated with obesity and aggressiveness”.

Translation - English A year in and a year out, but genocide survivors continue to be murdered
Since the beginning of this year 2006 through to the start of 2007, on a daily basis, genocide survivors and even witnesses have been murdered, have had their houses destroyed and have been undergoing other cynical and deathlike treatments. Many of the Tutsi and in particular those who were in Rwanda before the 94 genocide, had a feeling of relief and comfort when F.P.R took the power. They had suffered from a bad regime that proved to be dictatorial, racist, regionalist, and in which a Tutsi was deprived of his national rights, including education, security, and employment. Yet all political regimes are similar even though they may originate from different parties.
Ever since F.P.R. took the power, some Tutsi are still being killed, others are being laid off their jobs, simply because they are labeled “genocide survivors”, “from Burundi”, “from Congo”. Some people even claim that Tutsi from Uganda are more important in the country than others, and so forth.
The recent war of liberation harvested many youths who perished in fighting. It took away many parents that sacrificed themselves to help this dream come true. It took away old men and women who were killed because of their presumed links to Inkotanyi (FPR military) that they had never seen.
Now those who killed them refused to be punished; they are being released; flexible laws are being prepared for them; they are being taken to rehabilitation camps where they are fed on national budget; they are being given the opportunity to make children while in prison.
So, those killers draw the conclusion that it is not so bad to kill a Tutsi. They continue shedding blood thinking that you cannot prosecute the majority of the population. They keep spreading the rumor that in Rwanda there is no political space, that they are prevented from doing politics.
We will not accept politics aiming at killing us once more. There is a saying that goes as “You can’t kill everybody without leaving any survivor”. Even someone who was an infant in 94 now knows what should be done.
