After working for a time as an in-house technical translator I have now
been working freelance on a full-time basis since 2007. 15 years of life
on a working French farm gave me a wide range of experience in all
aspects of agriculture, both in terms of machinery and crops. I have
extensive experience in the translation of specifications, procedures and
datasheets in the construction industry, particularly for
environmentally-sustainable buildings; large volumes relating to
computerised railway equipment; user manuals for various agricultural
machines; technical specifications and user manuals for hydraulic
machinery and the automotive sector; software, manuals and hardware
specifications for different types of automated systems; data sheets,
specifications and articles relating to energy distribution; calls for
tender in various fields; marketing/organisational documents for events
such as the Monaco Yacht Show; brochures and guides for tourism
purposes. I also localise e-learning materials and offer subtitling. I can complete between 2500 and 3000 words of translation per
day, and I use SDL Studio 2022. I hold
the Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation with two Merits and a
Distinction (Science and Technology options).
