Bio

I have been working in the localization industry for over 15 years, active in many fields such as translation, editing, MTPE, project coordination and QA.

Among others, I worked for 3 years as in house translator at The Pokémon Company International, handling the Italian localization of popular software for Nintendo game systems, like Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2, PokéPark, Pokémon Rangers, and more.

As a freelancer, I specialized in translation of software and comic books, in the pairs Japanese to Italian and English to Italian, with clients like EA Games, FulTilt Poker Academy, Dynit, Yamato Video, Starcomics and more. In the last years I also translated marketing surveys and answers. Some other projects include technical subjects such as industrial regulations and scientific articles.

With clients such as Andovar and Altagram, I've been busy with video game localization and machine translation post editing, with projects spanning from casual mobile games to complex and vast RPGs. Some titles include: Pokémon, Crowfall, Dress Up Time Prncess, Doomsday Last Survivor...

I studied Japanese language and literature at Rome University, La Sapienza, where I graduated with top marks, and so I also did at the Japan Foundation in Rome. I was awarded with a scholarship in Tohoku University in a 1 year exchange programme from the Japanese Minister of Education.
