Bio

I am native-English-speaking qualified and experienced freelance translator, working exclusively from French to English.

I have an MA in Translation from the University of Bristol. I am also a Senior Associate Teacher on that MA programme.

I am an Associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), and abide by their Code of Conduct.

I have been a committee member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting Western Regional Group (ITI WRG) since 2006.

The software tools I use to manage translation work include SDL Trados, for which
I have advanced certification.

Alongside language skills, I have over fifteen years' experience of all aspects of software development: analysis, design, coding, test automation,
documentation, change control, and so on, across a range of fields, technologies and scales. This allows me to offer particular specialisms and services relating to that experience.
