About me

I am a Brazilian lawyer holding a Ph.D. in Civil,
Constitutional, Labor, and Procedural laws. I practiced law for over twenty
years in Brazil and worked as an Administrative Judge executing arbitration
matters. I also practiced law in the areas of indemnification of malpractices,
insurance, labor disputes, and consumer protection. I provided legal expertise
in scientific and juridical research.

I received special recognition for my accomplishments in
commercial (law) enterprises, and labor law. During my extensive legal career
in Brazil and other South American venues, I execute various legal and judicial
procedures covering international matters in countries such as Argentina and
Paraguay.

Being the foremost conduit of understanding and
communication between people where differing language and cultural background
are a barrier, providing clarity to the challenges that different linguistics
can create at times, is my ultimate realization as a professional bilingual
interpreter and translator. Top-quality professional translations and
interpretation are my cornerstones.

In 2002 I moved to the United States, and since I moved, I
have taught English to individuals and groups, in community schools as a
substitute teacher, in churches, and in specific places. I also teach
Portuguese to individuals, and I have been teaching and preparing individuals
for the US Naturalization Test.

as a freelance translator and interpreter for esteemed
organizations, collaborating with renowned companies such as Language Line
Services, Mesmo Inc., Jennie app, Ad-Astra, and Liberty language, I embraced
the opportunity to provide and improve my linguistic skills.

As a
professional OPI, VRI, and ON-SITE interpreter, I have provided services
for limited English speaking (LEP) customers and those companies' clients,
which include global governmental agencies, hospitals, financial institutions,
law enforcement, immigration offices, and a variety of public and private
organizations.

As a translator, I developed and improved my knowledge and
skills, working in my background areas of education and experience, and
developing others, with the same most important goal of delivering quality,
precise, and highly professional solutions, oriented by an enthusiastic and
professional approach.

I have been improving my subtitling translation skills,
which brought me along with the translation and interpretation work,
professional and personal growth, satisfaction, and self-realization. 

I have more than two years of experience teaching
Portuguese and English to adults, full-time, part-time, and as a substitute.
