Translation - English Forward transactions are the promise to deliver a specified product, at specified period in the future at a price fixed in advance, which may be settled through an offsetting transaction at any time until the appointed settlement day.
Stocks are the object of forward transactions at the stocks futures trading on the Osaka Security Exchange. However, such dealings aim at the aggregate of a large number of issues as an intermediate for indicating the trend of the whole stock market, rather than targeting individual equities.
• Consignment guarantee money for a bundle of 50 shares
9% of the contract cost is consignment guarantee money.
It is the duty of both buyer and seller to settle the prescribed consignment guarantee money in order to fulfill the contract for a bundle of 50 stocks future transaction.
The consignment guarantee money is the contract cost (contract cost price x 50,000 x 9% of transactions unit) (However, the minimum amount to be paid is Japanese Yen six million.) From this amount, 3% is paid in cash.
• Spread Transactions
It is a transaction, which takes advantage of the temporary difference in the fluctuation spread of the forward price until the contract month.
