I specialise in English-Wolof translation and Wolof-English translation for solicitors, barristers, public institutions, businesses and private clients across the UK and internationally.

I hold a Doctorate in Linguistics. My doctoral research focused on Urban Wolof and the multilingual practices of Senegalese migrants. It examined how people use Wolof alongside other languages across national borders, and how these practices relate to identity, culture and belonging. This research informs my attention to context, idiomatic expression and cultural meaning in translation.

I am a Chartered Linguist (CL), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL), and an NRPSI-registered interpreter. I am also the author of Urban Wolof Across Borders.

My translation work covers legal, immigration, asylum and public-service documents. I combine detailed knowledge of Wolof with an understanding of Senegalese cultural contexts, paying close attention to meaning, terminology and the intended reader.
