I am an English to Spanish translator and university Spanish instructor specializing in healthcare, academic, and educational translation.
My professional work includes translating and culturally adapting health education materials for Spanish speaking communities, with particular attention to accuracy, terminology, readability, and cultural appropriateness. I currently lead a university based health translation initiative developed in collaboration with healthcare and community partners.
In addition to my translation work, I teach Spanish at the University of North Florida, including advanced courses in Spanish composition and English to Spanish translation. My academic background and teaching experience have given me extensive experience working with language at an advanced level and making careful decisions about meaning, register, terminology, and audience.
My primary working language pair is English to Spanish. As a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, I bring both linguistic expertise and a strong understanding of cultural variation within Spanish speaking communities in the United States and Latin America. |
